For the Ground Festival (for which we also made the poster I've shown earlier) we put together an installation together with our friends from IAM FRESH.
The festival was about subcultures, and the question if you have to be a sell-out as an artist, in order to sell your work and survive.

We focused on the relationship between graffitit and advertising: stating that advertising is graffiti aswell. It is visually poluting our streets in an equal matter.

We painted a mural with images related to advertising (slogans, brands etc) and graffiti (tags, letters, characters). We painted the graffiti part in red, and the advertising part in blue. Then we placed some red and blue lights, which enabled visitors to swith between the 2 colors. The red lights showed only the blue imagery and vice versa.

Visitors could push a big button, which made the lights switch between red and blue, but there was also a change in background music. The graffitipart had a laidback beat, with city sounds and spraycan sounds. And the advertising part had a neurotic beat, with cut up samples from commercials and tell sell.

The quote "Everything thas has been paid for by public taxes: BOMB IT" is from KRS One, and is taken from the last scene of the documentary 'Bomb it'
This relates to the graffiti culture, but by changing the word 'BOMB' to 'BRAND' it relates to advertising aswell

Really cool idea, really well executed. The change in music you describe sounds perfect as well.

Very nice job. Fresh style, and really pats-like.
It almost screams that it was you who did this.
And the red-blue idea.. awesome. 5/5!
